Don Gapen Of Anoka, Minnesota Invented The Classic Muddler Minnow In 1937 To Imitate The Sculpin, A Small Baitfish That Darts Across The Bottoms Of Streams, Infiltrates Redds, And Eats Trout Eggs. Originally Developed To Catch Brook Trout In Ontario, A Conehead Has Been Added To This Version Of The Muddler In Order To Get The Fly Down In Fast-Moving Water. It’S An Effective New Take On An Old Standard.
